Aluminium Alloy
Aluminium Alloy Seat Frame
Seat Frames
Designed for
For programs where seat weight directly impacts vehicle payload or fuel consumption — electric bus, premium coach, accessible minibus with strict GVW constraints.
ViaSeat aluminium alloy frames use 6082-T6 alloy for structural members and are TIG welded by coded welders. CMM verification is standard on all alloy frames due to the tighter tolerance requirements of the material. Anodised or powder-coat finish options available. Typical weight saving of 25–30% vs equivalent steel design.
Key features
- 25–30% lighter than equivalent steel
- CMM-verified every batch — tight tolerance control
- 6082-T6 alloy — optimum strength/weight for seating
- Anodise or powder-coat finish
